"This set reflects my experience in my previous work environment. An environment that I knew exists, but not to the extent of the mental and emotional abuse I went through for years. This is not intended to be malicious by any means. Art has always been my way to cope through life and it’s my way of having a therapy outlet.
This painting represents the rats. Rats are considered filthy and possibly have a disease. So it’s safe to say when someone calls you a rat it’s an insult. Most workplaces have one or more ‘rat(s)’ working there. A rat person is someone negative, backstabber (snitch), liar and a hateful person."
