Olympics - Gold, 48" x 36" SOLD
Acrylic on Canvas with gel medium and gloss varnish.
We are all searching for validation from someone to tell us we are good enough. Some people go through impossible measures to achieve validation. But we forget that the only validation we need to look for is within our own self. The Olympic medals symbolize the highest level of achievement for an athlete. Any medal, whether it’s gold, silver or bronze, is considered a great honor derived from hard work and dedication. Perhaps, instead of looking to the outside world to make us feel worthy we can look inward and give ourselves the reward and power we deserve.
Maybe the biggest injustice is not how others validate us, but that we allow someone else to dictate us all.
